Where to buy a T-money card
Convenience stores
GS25, CU, 7-ELEVEN and other participating convenience stores commonly sell T-money cards. Availability can vary by branch.
Subway / transport locations
VisitKorea lists Seoul subway information centers and ticket or reload machines among the places travelers can buy or reload cards.
How to use it
The general card price is commonly around ₩3,000–₩5,000 before adding travel balance.
Add a small amount first. If your trip is short, topping up gradually is easier than ending with a large unused balance.
On Seoul buses and subways, tap when boarding/entering and again when getting off/exiting. This matters for correct fare calculation and transfers.
Use station machines or participating retailers. Some convenience-store purchases can also be paid with T-money where the logo is displayed.
For a typical Seoul city trip, start with a modest balance and reload when needed. It is simpler than trying to refund a large leftover amount on your last day.

Refunds and leftover balance

T-money is a stored-value transport card. Seoul’s Climate Card is a different pass product with separate coverage, pricing and validity rules.
